1. Description of Activity

This waiver applies to a dockside marine 3D printing workshop operated by 3D3D ("the Operator"). The workshop is a land-based event held at a marina or yacht club facility. It does not involve boarding, riding on, or being transported by any vessel. The workshop involves observation and limited hands-on interaction with 3D printing equipment and printed parts.

2. Acknowledgment of Risks

I understand that the workshop environment includes the following specific hazards, even when all safety precautions are followed:

• 3D printer hot ends and heated beds — nozzle temperatures up to 300°C, bed temperatures up to 110°C. Enclosed printers are secured with safety interlock cords that prevent doors from being opened during operation. Open-bed printers are supervised by the Operator at all times. Burn risk exists if safety protocols are not followed.
• Heated thermoplastic materials — freshly printed parts may be hot to the touch immediately after printing. Parts will be handled by the Operator and provided to attendees only when cooled to a safe temperature.
• Material fumes — heated thermoplastics produce mild odour and trace particles. Enclosed printers include filtration. Open-bed printers are operated in ventilated areas. The Operator will ensure adequate ventilation at all times.
• Electrical equipment — printers, power bars, and lighting connected to mains power. All equipment is CSA-rated or equivalent and inspected before each workshop.
• General workshop environment — attendees will be in a marina or yacht club setting which may include uneven surfaces, dock access areas, and outdoor conditions.

I understand that no knives, blades, or sharp cutting tools will be provided to or used by attendees. Part removal and finishing is performed exclusively by the Operator.

3. Safety Measures in Place

The Operator maintains the following safety measures:

• Enclosed printers have security interlock cords that physically prevent enclosure doors from being opened while printers are in operation. Open-bed printers are directly supervised by the Operator at all times.
• Live video feeds are provided so attendees can observe print progress inside the enclosures without physical contact.
• Attendees are not permitted to touch, adjust, or reach into any printer while it is powered on or cooling down.
• The Operator controls all equipment operation, material handling, and part removal.
• A first aid kit is available on site at all times.

4. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this workshop, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including risks arising from the negligence of the Operator, 3D3D, its agents, employees, or volunteers.

I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge the Operator, 3D3D, the host marina or yacht club, their officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively "the Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for personal injury, death, or property damage arising out of or related to my participation in this workshop, including claims arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.

This waiver does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or intentional acts by the Released Parties.

5. Photo, Video & Content Consent (PIPEDA Compliant)

In accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), I provide express consent for the following:

• I may be photographed and/or video recorded during the workshop.
• This content may be used by 3D3D for promotional purposes including: social media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), the 3D3D website (3d3d.ca), sponsor communications, and marketing materials.
• I understand I may withdraw my consent at any time by contacting info@3d3d.ca, and 3D3D will make reasonable efforts to remove identifiable content within 30 days of the request.

6. Participant Declaration

By signing below, I confirm that: (a) I have read this document in its entirety and understand its contents; (b) I am signing voluntarily and have not been pressured or rushed; (c) I am aware of the specific risks described above and voluntarily assume those risks; (d) I have had the opportunity to ask questions; (e) I have disclosed any medical conditions or allergies relevant to my safety to the Operator.
