Workshop Operations Guide
What happens when 3D3D arrives at your club. Handoff document for confirmed stops.
What 3D3D Brings
4 3D printers — Prusa Core ONE L and Creality K1 (enclosed, safety interlocks), Bambu A1 and AnyCubic Cobra 2 Max (open-bed, operator-supervised). Live video feeds.
Full material kit — ASA, ASA-GF, ASA-CF, PETG, PETG-CF, PETG Ultra Glow, Polycarbonate, TPU
Power distribution — power bars, extension cords (all CSA-rated)
Lighting — work lighting for evening sessions
Safety equipment — first aid kit, fire extinguisher, heat-resistant gloves
Content equipment — cameras, tripod, microphone for livestream and video
CAD workstation — laptop with Onshape, PrusaSlicer, and design tools
What Your Club Provides
Required
Covered space — gazebo, pavilion, clubhouse deck, or indoor area. Minimum 20ft x 20ft.
Two power outlets — no special electrical required.
Dock access — for the vessel Mr Jumpa (38ft sailboat, 8ft draft).
Additional Info
WiFi access for livestream is helpful (can use cellular if needed).
Arrival may be the evening prior depending on sailing conditions.
This is a two-day workshop — same 4pm-10pm format both evenings.
Workshop Timeline
2:00 PM
Arrival. Mr Jumpa docks. Equipment unloaded and staged in covered area.
2:00 - 4:00
Setup. Printers powered on, materials loaded, video feeds connected, banners placed. Test prints started.
4:00 PM
Doors open. Attendees arrive, sign waivers, check in. Casual walkthrough of the setup.
4:30 - 6:00
Live design session. Attendees bring broken parts. CAD design happens live on screen. First prints start.
6:00 - 6:30
Break. Parts printing. Attendees check video feeds, ask questions, inspect finished parts.
6:30 - 9:00
Open workshop. More parts designed and printed. Material demos. Q&A. Content filming.
9:00 - 10:00
Wind down. Final parts handed off. Printers cool down. Equipment packed and secured aboard Mr Jumpa.
Next AM
Departure. Mr Jumpa departs for next stop (or stays an extra day by arrangement).
Safety Protocols
Enclosed printers have security interlock cords. Doors cannot be opened during operation. Open-bed printers are supervised by the Operator at all times.
Live video feeds let attendees watch prints without touching the machines.
No knives, blades, or sharp tools are provided to attendees. All part removal and finishing is done by the operator.
Nozzle temperatures reach 300 degrees C. Attendees are briefed on this at check-in.
All attendees must sign a safety waiver before participating. Under 16 requires parent/guardian signature.
First aid kit and fire extinguisher on site at all times.
Content Creation Notice
All workshop activity is livestreamed and filmed for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Attendees are informed of this at check-in and consent is included in the safety waiver. Attendees who do not wish to appear on camera will be accommodated — they inform the operator and stay outside filming areas.
Your club and marina will be featured in content with your name, location, and a link to your website where applicable.
Pricing: $80 per person. Kids and grandkids free with an adult. Six prepaid attendees confirms your date. All safety equipment and materials provided.
